The principal system I had to design, document and balance was the AIs. Their operation was based on a serie of variables working together and represented on an Excel page. This Excel allowed me to easily understand each of this variables impact, change them and immediately see the difference in the AI’s behaviour.
This Excel caan be divided into 4 diferent parts: variables, test values, behaviour and result chart.
Variables
Here can be seen all of the variables that affect the AI’s behaviour with their values. Additionaly, for comparation and balancing purposes, old and new values can be seen at the same time.
Test values
In this part, test values can be inputed to test the AI’s behaviour.
Behaviour
In the behaviour part, you can see how the detection value of the AIs increase over time, and how each variable affect this increase. This calculation are based in the equations that were given to me by the programmation team, and that can be seen in the Excel too.
Result Chart
Finally, in this part can be seen tables and charts that summarize the AI’s behaviour and allows to quickly find the changes done.
